Dear Peter, I have a failed PowerSmart battery of the equivalent model. I already disassembled it (the most risky part! but I did always!). If you want to try DIY, I can mail the plastic case with metal contact to you (i.e. I will take out the failed pair of 14430 Li battery first). Just let me know...
