Just want to refresh your memory that our milky way didn't disappear from the Earth's night sky but HK's only.

Taken in Australia 2 years ago with Pentax 150mmF2.8 medium lens, E200 slide film and 20 min unguided.

Is it too contrasty?

Seemed the sky conditions not too bad for astronomy at this island, and believe it will be a very good site for astrophotography if transparency is a bit better.

What a shame I could not have camping there last week with Wah.

Could you share your opinion on doing astrophotography at this island?

Hi,

A single frame of wide field Comet 17P taken with an EF100mm lens set at F4.5 at Tai Mo Shan on Nov 9th.

Camera 350D set at iso 100 RAW, ICNR and unguided 2 min.

Quite noisy for just one single frame though iso speed of 100 set already.
