香港太空館三十年前的舊東西展品，一成不變～怎麼搞的？

今天到尖沙咀見客，然後路經多年未進去過的香港太空館，在售票處望一下，見到有新的天像節目（我們都是外星人3D）票不貴，就購票進去看看亞洲最大的23米球型銀幕～好心的保安姐姐告訴我今天週三是免費開放日，可以進展覽廳參觀～匍一進去，發覺裡面的展品和影像播放的片段，居然還是二十年前甚至有些是三十年前的舊東西，一成不變～怎麼搞的？香港康樂事務處每年的千千億億公帑的經費哪裡去了？

作為香港推廣天文的領頭羊，太空館確實雖要與時並進。

裡面九成參觀者都係國內同胞～還有政府可以考慮一下將太空館活化，變成星X克咖啡店，太空館外圍變成露天茶座，讓人Hi Tea～反正館裡面的太空書店已經變成玩具店，真的可以讓一家大小來Hea一個下午，儘情享受視聽（天象館）口福之娛～

There is no point for the government to promote astronomy in HK. First off, HK is a financial and retailing city, not a R&D centre. The younger generation should focus on how to make more money or how to be a good sale and not waste times and efforts on something that has no future here.

Moreover, located at the heart of the city, Space Museum occupies the most needed urban land. For the sake of poor people, it should be demolished and replaced by high density public housing.

It is stupid for the government to promote astronomy. Stargazers in general are more concerned of light and air pollution. They are more likely to oppose infrastructure works.

If those top management people of space musemum are not star lovers or astronomy fans, they will NOT have any passion to keep the space museum up-to-date.

There is no latest astronomy news, but Chinese rocket & space ship only. They like to make money by boardcast 3D movie & selling astronomy products in the shop. Money oriented instead of education oriented.

Astronomy fans can only hold some talks or seminar in the lecture room, instead of provide into to update the space museum facility.

What a tragedy in the development of astronomy in Hong Kong.

For those world famous top museums, one of the consideration of hiring curator is the passion of candidate. Knowledge is only the ability for a person to do a job right, passion leads a person to commit the right job. Obviously, our government does not have this consideration.

Gone were those good old days when Mr. H.C.Liu was the curator. I still remembered I wa able to find the first Celestron C8 in HK, Pyrex mirror making kits and top of the line astonomical acessories off the shelf in the shop.
