Vixen VSD 100 F3.8 astrograph

From its appearance, it is seemed that new astrograph from Vixen is an improved model of "Pentax 100 SDUFII" specially for today digital imaging. There are total 5 optical elements in this astrograph and it supports medium format system.

The focal ratio of VSD is F3.8. So, that is a very fast astrograph. But the tube weighs just 4.5kg. That means it is more protable than "FSQ106 + reducer". This VSD will be my main astrograph for astrography overseas with cooled CCD or taken to some very remote site in Hong Kong.

As it consists of 5 optical elements, the price is a bit higher than that of FSQ106 OTA. However, if the reducer is counted into, I think the cost is about the same.

I will receive one sample from Vixen next week, and I think that is the 1st one in HK too.
