weather update.

Observation: From central kowloon, thin high cloulds, hazy. Ground level visibility >5KM

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow: Fine apart from some haze.

Aviation weather report: "VHHH 0830 32010KT 4800 HZ FEW040 29/19 Q1011 NOSIG= " meaning, at UT0830 (HKT 4:30PM) wind from 320degree (NW), at 10 knots, visibility 4800meters, haze, few clouds at 4000 feet, temp 29C, dew point 19 C, pressure 1011, no significant weather.

Wan Lan Island (East side of Hong Kong) visibility:


Middle of last night, it raised to 17KM but now is 8-9KM

My suggestion:
(1) If visibility of Wan Lan Island improves significantly in the next few hours and it is less hazy, we attempt East Dam.
(2) If visibility is still so-so, we try Clear Water Bay Country Park (for its ease of retreat if it is too hazy to see anything)

An update with an "observational" report

“Observers are reporting that the rate got as high as 55 per hour last night/before dawn this morning - pretty close to the 60 predicted,” NASA’s Bill Cooke told the Horizons blog.

“The meteor shower was pretty much as expected,” he added. “Quite a few bright meteors, but not many fireballs or bolides.”

I suggest that we make a final decision where to go, if at all, around 8pm. (Orion is not up until 10pm)

橫瀾島的能見度在下降中(見上面的圖, 那是直接用天文台自動更新的圖)

但6時45分(還有暮光)及7時30分在天上木星和織女星都肉眼可見, 所以天上透明度應是可以的。

建議: 到清水灣效野公園, 預算約9時45分到達, 如煙霞加劇, 也可隨時撤退。
(如鏡神想入東壩, 也可提出, 再議)。

有沒有人或anyone去馬? [衝刺運球] [撞飛-撞]

不過我相信奇蹟. 我去camp果日都好大煙霞, 只朦朦朧朧睇到d星, 諗住都睇吾到 ,同左營友去食野, 半夜時我再出返去, 有一大部分天空係特別清架,睇到好多星,流星都睇到!
