Dear ATMs,
Yesterday WongSir arrived and pay a visit to our newly completed 24 inch telescope. He was especially satisfied with the simple yet stable design of the OTA and alt-az mount. He was also particularly interested in the intruding focuser, which eliminates the use of a big diagonal mirror yet maintaining a full reception of the light fan from the primary mirror. Together he also inspected our old 10 inch f/4.5 Newtonian, which was finished 4 years ago. This Newtonian is now being mounted on a heavy duty equatorial mount.
We would like to express our gratitude towards WongSir who spared his time to look at the 24 inch and supply many valuable comments.

- The 20 inch telescope brought to Beijin Observatory last Christmas. The 24 inch is actually a copy of this telescope with minor modification. On the left you can see the little 7 inch bought along at the same trip.
