自制家用天文台 --- MANDII

Dome diameter about 1m. Its designed to fit a robo-scope only inside.
MANDII: My rooftop "observatory" is about 2m cube. I can tell you that I felt very cramped with my not so large equipment inside. I keep bumping my head with the scope and/or counterweight. Its painful and more importantly knocks off the polar alignment. If I were to do it again, I definitely want to make it at least 7 feet square or even slightly larger. APO has a 2m dome, I suggest you visit his dome to get a feel so as to set your expectations correctly. Just my too cents worth...
A 2M( 2M*2M*2M) cube is still not enough ?
I think my equipment investment is tottaly cannot be compared with yours .
I think your body height is tall and your equipment is very big one compared with my expectation one .
For me , There is a calculation background indeed for me to determine this 1M dome and 2M base room in my design .
for example, A 1M long( max) telescope with a 1 M height(max) mount can be occupied with 180 degree of view . Since I am only sitting under the base room ( not under the Dome), my height is less than 1M as well . And there is still have about 15cm on top of my head to touch the ceiling of the base room .
According to above maximun equipment dimention , I think not so many telescope and mount will have 1M long and 1M height .
Refractor is normally less than 1M long , the mount can be shortened in leg such that the maximun height counted from the telescope to the ground is less than 1M . Within this range I can have pretty much choices for my telescope and mount in future . Of course , too big equipment is not my consideration because the investment is not within my budget as well .

And most importantly , this height and the Dome size is safety .
for example , I had considered to make a 1.5M Dome with 2M base room , But finally I give up that size because It's too dangerous when it is self made( except it is bought ) .
It's not talking about 1 or 2 years time , It's talking about 10 to 20 years using this buiding . Safety should be the number 1 consideration . Even you feel safety , the other people under my flat may be frigtened by my Big Dome , they don't familar how the dome is strong or not , but they may just frightened by a big thing on top of them . So , finally I still choose the make a 1M dome and that is just enough for my observation .

圓頂的目的僅在於保護望遠鏡,但圓頂的存在會對於望遠鏡觀測的品質造成影響,把望遠鏡安全的包在圓頂裡面,同時也隔絕了圓頂內、為空氣的流通,圓頂裡面的一堆功能例如:通風、空調等等就是要降低這個影響。而這些影響是因為有了圓頂才造成的,所以沒有圓頂的天文台才是理想的天文台。
太大的圓頂受風面積大,空間中無支撐的跨距也加大,為了加強強度材料會用的比較多,所以價格隨之上揚,別忘了重量與體積成正比,而體積是長度的3次方成正比,所以尺寸成長一倍,重量就是8倍,和望遠鏡一樣。
太大的圓頂重量高空間大,熱質量效應也高,要花比較久的時間才能使圓頂內外空氣溫度達到平衡。
太大的圓頂開口效率差,當望遠鏡的開口越是遠離圓頂的窗口,您必須要有更大的圓頂窗口才不會阻擋到望遠鏡的進光,也意謂著圓頂要有更高精度的隨動才行,而圓頂窗口大也會造成圓頂強度減弱。
所以圓頂要越小越好,望遠鏡開口離圓頂窗口越接近越好,。
圓頂大除了美觀以外,其他一無是處,但若為觀光或教育考量,那又是不同的設計原則。
>方形天文台 又何優缺點 ?
優點:僅用板材,結構簡單、造價低廉,還可自行DIY。
缺點:風阻係數高,不耐強風,還會造成圓頂附近亂流,影響觀測時的Seeing。

作晚放工特地北上一趟,把所有的组件分别从3个不同的工场检验埋单搬走,暂放系深圳屋企,等呢个周末一次过搬返来香港。作晚深圳月色不怎么好,忙了整整一晚,今早又要回港返工,离家前随手影左几幅想比大家梯下 。 等迟D搬返香港后再同大家影子细的图 ,以作日后大家参照参详用。
组件为 1)波离钢圆顶 2)铁制转盘 3)塑钢湾型趟门 和 4) 一桶航天改民用隔热涂料( 本工程的重心材料,见图绿色的那桶,上周末从中国西北部运低深圳我屋企,目前全国市面无得发售,出口用的)
我非常满意各组件的制成品,做功比我想像中较好,尺寸结构亦与当初图纸一致,有的地方误差也只是1cm以内. 可以接受。
下星期四我要出差2周了,所以呢个星期要把货搬番香港才行,等我出完差返来10月头中秋便可开始彻砖墙。货车作日也安排好了,星期5晚他们来接货,星期六下午会到香港,初步谈好要4旧水 (400RMB) 。
适逢今年是天文年,汗水拨流,余味深长,笔此敬悉。

我5识打繁体字,识小小汉语拼音法,读完书工作知今有10年了,呢10年也有来来往往在深圳生活过,学会打拼音,但同音2字多,特此写文章献丑。
