2021 January 01 Sun - solar surface in white-light, with AR12794 and AR12795
As AR12794 is moving towards the W limb, and is located at (S16W71) today. This group is still a lone Class-J sunspot.
AR12795 is closer to the SW limb today, located at (S18W41), is a Class-E bipolar group. Both the leading and following sunspots have split into smaller sunspots, with the penumbrae nearly invisible. We can see at least 6 sunspots.
sunspot count: group=2, sunspot=7, R=27
Telescope: Celestron C5, 127mm f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain
Camera : ASI1600MM Pro, not cooled.
focal length : 1250 mm f/10
Filters: Baader Solar Film 5.0+ Baader Planetarium G-band continuum.
approximately north is up, east to the left
