The flare eruption is already taking place when observations starts at 07:20 UTC.
When the whole pillar prominence is off-disc, the leading end disperses, leaving just shattered plasma masses which continue the outward motion.
A smaller plasma mass is also observed moving outward. This is from the same AR12996, but from a smaller dark filament at the northern end of the AR.
