any brother knows this telescope ?

my friend knows i interest astronomy , he gives me this telescope today . he said he bought it a few years ago but never use .
after i opened the box , i found everything is perfect except the finder which has some " mo " on the lens .
it is a 100mm diameter and 1400mm focal length .
any brother know this telescope quality is good or not , is it suitable for astronmy photography ?

4" sc, that is great and good enough for you to start the observation. No need to buy C6 now. I'm sure you have a great equipment now. LX-75 + 4". As I remember, the bushnell is one famous brand name in US. (May be not? I have seen the name on "sky and Magazine") This one isn't cheap. You friend give you expensive toy.

First you need to check the internal mirrors - Main mirror and correction lens. That is very important. If there is a mold, that is a great trouble for cleaning and repairing. If only the finder get some mold. Who care? just buy a new one or change the red dot finder. That isn't expensive.

Congraduation! You get most of the equipment, I will say you are no need to get any equipment more. You are only consider the eyepiece and adaptor only.

wow, it is great , i ask my friend how much he paid for this telescope . he didn't tell me . the main mirror and correction lens is perfect , no mold no dots .
i want to know is it fit to the LXD 75 ? ( because the mountung still at Grand eyes ,i will pick up it next week )

f/14 is quite slow for DSO imaging, you may use it to capture brighter objects such as planets or the moon.

yes, i shall try to shoot the moon first and use it as a guiding scope ( can I ) when i take some wde angle 星野 photos .
