A Series “1” tripod is a bit weak for supporting 80 mm refractor OTA. At least you need a Series “2” tripod with the top leg having a diameter of 28 mm.
Tripods of Gitzo, Manfrotto, Benro, Sirui, or Velbon etc. will all do the job.

Nowadays many tripod manufacturers (such as Gitzo, Benro, Sirui) have graded their tripods by the diameter of the top leg, at least approximately. Thus, Series “1” = 24 mm, Series “2” = 28 mm, Series “3” = 32 mm Series “4” = 36 mm, Series “5” = 40 mm, etc.
Generally a 3-section tripod would be more rigid and can support a larger load than a 4- section tripod or 5-section tripod of the same Series but would be longer in length.
The mounting foot of my William Optics 80 FD refractor OTA has two 1/4” BSW screw holes and so the mounting plate of the Manfrotto 410 gear head can just screw on.

As I have already mentioned, this William Optics ZS 80 FD refractor OTA (about 6 lb) is on a Manfrotto 410 gear head and a Velbon 640 CF tripod. For visual observation the set up is very transportable and quite stable at over 150x. Of course the use of a still larger tripod, such as a Sirui 3004 tripod that I also have, would be more stable. But that would add some more weight and so there is always a compromise.
well , I see .. . When you are talking about you need to bring it outdoor , surely these mounts are quite heavy . My one is equitorial mount EQ3 , market price cost about HKD1200 without motor . I got it from a second hand price dealing 400HKD with motor . And it's not difficult for one to find many types of mount on china web site with such range of price nowadays . However , you might feel too heavy comparing with your current tripod .
