Asteroid occultation event on 2019 July 19

(323) Brucia / TYC 6851-1834-1 event on 2019 Jul 19, 13:03 UT
Visible from Japan, China, SE Asia
Summary
-------
On 2019 Jul 19 UT, the 32.8953546933462 km diameter asteroid (323) Brucia will
occult a 10.1 mag star in the constellation Sagittarius for observers along a
path across Japan, China, SE Asia.
In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star
will drop by 2.92 mag to 12.94 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most
2.6 seconds.
This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly
provided by Hugh Harris, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU
Minor Planet Center.
This work has made use of data from the European Space Agency (ESA)
mission Gaia (http://www.cosmos.esa.int/gaia), processed by the
Gaia Data Processing and Analysis Consortium
(DPAC, http://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/gaia/dpac/consortium).
