Scope: Takahashi MT-160 Newtonian
Mount: Takahashi EM-200 Temma II
Camera: SBIG ST-2000XCM self-guided
Exposure: 15min subs @-10 degC (lowest I could get before CCD frosting)
Time & weather: 4 January 2008, sky turned from clear to slightly fogged after midnight
Processing: MaximDL, Photoshop CS2, PixInsight LE
All images resized to 1000X750 uncropped

Dear all, thanks for your comments!
I found that even slightly fogged sky took a toll on image quality. You can see that the NGC7814 image which was taken earlier before the fog rolled in is better than the rest taken the other half of the night by having much smaller star size. Also, seeing was deteriorating later on.

This is galaxy season again with the seemingly vast hollow autumn night sky. There are however lots of jewels to be revealed.
I tried a few wide views intentionally showing the "distances".
NGC7814 - an edge on one about 40 million lightyears from us with a distinctive dust lane, which I last imaged in 2008.
