My best Jupiter image

Hi,

Below is a Jupiter image taken on March 09. Raw images were in fact not good due to poor seeing condition (3-4/10) and low transparency (3-4/10). However the outcome result is a surprise. It is my best one captured so far. If under good sky conditions, what would the image be?

Would like to guess what size of telescope was used to capture this image?

Very high resolution. However, the colour seems a bit green. I would suggest to stack around 1000 raws to improve the s/n ratio. I guess it was taken by a 12" telescope.

Hi LT,

Auto-level in photoshop will greatly improve the greenish image.

Thanks Wah for your help. Your reprocessed one looks much natural than mine.

This Jupiter was indeed taken with a 6" telescope, not refractor but a Newtonian of 33% CO.

yes! I also prefer the tone of Jupiter taken by LT. that's why I process my Vc200L image at another thread. of course, much to be learnt for my image processing technique....

六吋鏡可以影到噤高解像力! 而且重要係短焦鏡! 這應是我見到最高解像力的六吋木星.
