Old film image, new processing tool
Taken with Vixen DED108SS astrograph + kodak E200 emulsion in 2007, manually guided with Vixen GP mount
Preprocessed in PI with DBE, BackgroundNeutralization, ColorCalibration, Histogram, Curve, MLT., and then final touch in PS
There should have no noise in a film image. But when stretching in PI, like those digital images, noise became obvious more and more. So, MLT in PI and noise reduction in PS were applied. Maybe this noise came from the flat-bed scanner.
Here you can see the response of E200 emulsion to Ha signal is quite different from that of those digital sensors.
