DSO 遺照集 -- NGC7000
Re: DSO 遺照集 -- Reprocessed M42
That is a cropped and reprocessed version of M42 taken with FL55SS in 2018
Hope I can go to some places with darker sky than that at PTC in Hong Kong this year to achieve a better result with this little scope FL55SS.
FL55SS + flattener + LPS + 100Da @PTC in 2018 @315mm F5.7
20x120s @iso1600, autoguided with Vixen AP mount
Stacked and processed in PI, calibrated with darks only
Final touch in PS

Re: DSO 遺照集 -- NGC7000
117. NGC7000
At that night, shot NGC7000 specially and so had taken 41 light frames. However, the sky quality at PTC is becoming poor and poor year by year. The result was quite disappointed.

Attached one light frame for your reference what the sky quality it was at that night.

Re: DSO 遺照集 -- Double cluster from Yinna
118. Double cluster taken in Mountain Yinna
Taken with Vixen VSD + 40Da in Mountain Yinna in China in 2014 @380mm F3.8
13x60s @iso1600, unguided with Vixen GP2 photoguider
Stacked in PI with 5 darks calibrated only
Processed in PI
My first time to Mountain Yinna. If my memory is correct, quite much cloud in the sky after dusk at the the first night but clear up for a while in the pole region. Then set up gear in the shortest time and did the polar alignment as quick as possible. But I found I had made a mistake of not doing the alignment well after shooting the Double Cluster without any autoguiding.
Moreover, maybe the total integration time is not sufficient. The result is not good, the colors on the stars not so obvious. However, the PCC curve seemed quite perfect.

A reprocessed version in HDR
Taken with DIY 300mm F4 Newtonian + paracorr + LPS + 100Da @PTC in 2015 @~1380mm F4.6
10 x 120s @iso800, autoguided with Vixen AXD mount
Stacked and processed in PI with dark calibration only
Final touch in PS
see if the smaller size looks a bit smoother.

Re: DSO 遺照集 -- M42 with L combined
120. M42 with L combined
On December 3rd, went out to Sai Kung for shooting the comet A1. While waiting for it to rise, shot M42 with SD115S for killing time. However, the focus was getting out more and more as the scope cooled down to ambient temperature. So as not to waste this set of color data, attempted to use the L data taken with R200SS + Atik 383L+ mono cooled CCD camera to give a new life to the color data, and luckily, managed to get a finer color image of this great nebula. If the SN ratio of the M42 in L channel was higher, the result would be much better I think.
