Successful observation of the 2018 September 13 asteroid occultation event
Thanks to the incoming typhoon, we have a clear sky this evening. With the help of Kenneith Hui, Bartholomew Tsang and Thomas Fok, and GT Fish, we complete preparation and the target star was located at around 12:20 UTC.
Preliminary results:
Occultation starts at approximately 13:01:34.0 UTC and ends at approximately 13:01:38.0 UTC
Telescope: 50-cm f/8 RC reflector at Hokoon
Camera: ASI1600MM Pro (un-cooled), bin 4x4
Exposure for video clip: 40 ms
