Dear all,
Jupiter was imaged when it was about 45 degree high. The atmosphere was not stable but I just tested the equipment setting.
Taken at 10 fps; shutter speed 1/33; gain 20%; saturation 50%; gama 5%. 2x Powermate with effective F-ratio at F10.
1200 frames stacked in Registax 3.
Next time I wish to try F20-F25 and to add IR-cut filter when Jupiter is near the zenith.

Did the picture shot with the equatorial platform ? I think I may try ours as well.
Best regards

Dear Chan Sir,
Yes, also on dual axis EQ platform as last time for Saturn.
Last time I did not do any drift alignment for Saturn and mistakenly placed the EQ platform by estimation. The result was that my son had to press the controller every second to prevent the object from fastly drifting away.
Last night, Saturn had passed zenith at about 9 pm and was soon blocked by buildings at 10 pm, while Jupiter was too low at that time.
The sky was not that bad and I had some time to carry out drift alignment ( and this time I had done research to enable me to know which direction to move when the star started to drift south) . You were right, Chan Sir. I moved the whole EQ platform by about 20 degree east before I got it right. After the visual drift alignment, the object stayed on the notebook screen most of the time.
No wonder I always had star drift the previous time I tried drift- alignment of EM200 with Petming when Polaris was out of sight. The mount was far far away off.
Next time I shall try drift alignment by ToUCam to achieve better accuracy.
Since you are expert on drift alignment, single RA axis EQ platform will serve ToUCam imaging enough.
Clear skies imaging with your 14-inch or even 24-inch dob.
May the clear skies be with us often !

The dob and EQ platform are being placed inside my home and imaging is done on the Estate platform.
My whole setup is about 60-70 lbs, and over 75 lbs if autoguiding setup is included. I believe Chan Sir's 14-inch dob is about 20-40 lbs.
If transportation can be arranged, I believe that both Chan Sir and I would have no objection to share the dob experience at the Farm.
Haven't we suggest a dob workshop before ? My next target will be ATM 18-20 inch dob at F4 if someone could help me with the metal/wood handcraft.
