Making of 16 inch PTC telescope - 3, #1200 finished

Dear ATMers,

Today I worked at turbo speed. I finished #320, #600 and #1200 grits all in one day, leaving a good and smooth surface to be polished.

I grind every grit for a period of 90 minutes except for the #1200, which lasted for 120 minutes.

Fortunately the temperature today was not as high as before and my work could be taken place in a more comfortable way. By the word “comfortable” I mean in a relative sense – I still had to work under a lot of sweat !

The final measurement of the mirror showed that it has a f/ratio of 4.6, not far away from the designed value.
